Three main reasons why we should never stop playing.

Three main reasons why we should never stop playing.

It is so sad to see how in our adult life we stop taking time to play, we are so exhausted than if we ever have time, we probably spend it in a numbed state watching any type of screen.

It is common knowledge that kids need to play for their development and wellbeing, but it turns out, we adults also need to take time to play, and here three main reasons why:

Great stress reliever.

Playing a game is fun, and can trigger the release of endorphins, the body's natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain and improve any mental healing process.

Improves brain function.

Playing matching cards, completing puzzles, or doing other fun activities that challenge the brain can help prevent memory problems and improve brain function.

The social interaction of playing with family and friends can also help ward off stress and depression.

Boost creativity.

Young children tend to learn best when they play, a principle that also applies to adults. You'll learn a new task best when you find it fun and are in a relaxed, playful mood. Play can also stimulate their imagination, helping them adapt and solve problems.

In the words of George Bernard Shaw, "We don't stop playing because we get older; We get old because we stop playing." Play can boost your energy and vitality and even improve your resistance to disease, helping you function at your best.
